Smart lock won’t unlock manually
It’s late October 2023 and this issue of the smart lock not unlocking manually is still happening. I see posts from more than 2 years ago and I’m on my 2nd lock trying to resolve this problem. I’ve recalibrated and made software updates and still the same problem. I’m going to return this VERY EXPENSIVE ‘SMART’ lock and ask for a refund. If SimpliSafe could fix this problem they already would have done so. Major safety issue.

Hi,
So sorry to hear that you're having trouble for the second time! Smart Lock jamming can occur over time as the locked and unlocked positions shift. So we recommend re-calibrating regularly, to continually re-train the lock on the correct positions.
But yes, if that isn't working, then the next step is a replacement. Hopefully you've already been in touch with our Support team - we would be happy to take care of you.

I hear way to much of this and that's a reason I have never got one, same with the smoke detector, dust builds up in it and can cause it to go off so I don't have that either.

I can confirm that SimpliSafe will not always send a replacement. Customer service gives the runaround with troubleshooting for long that I just give up. I've reset everything, batteries, reset locks, etc. I just give up. I haven't had a working lock in a year. We're back to using keys.
