Question about the Door Lock
So I have watched some videos on the Simplisafe door lock. None of them showed the installation of the keypad on the outside of the door, but they all mention the double sided tape on it. Does it not screw to the door? Is the tape the only thing holding it on the door? If so, what happens when someone comes by and yanks it off the door? Would the lock be rendered useless other than using the app?

Similar to our other components, the Smart Lock's included PIN Pad does come with pre-applied removable adhesives. But there are also holes in the mounting brackets that you can use to screw the unit into your door or doorframe, if you prefer.
If you find yourself suddenly missing a PIN Pad, let us know. We'll get you a replacement under warranty!
