Out of range message trying to update locks

I have 2 and both get this error trying to update them.  I think the base station is up to date.  Rechargeable batteries are fairly well charged.  I can lock and unlock from the app.  I tried on my Android phone too and it sits on connecting forever and never continues.  I am holding my devices right against the lock

Hi @skeston ,

It might be unclear, but the Smart Lock is updated through the app on your phone, which sends the firmware via bluetooth. So for each Smart Lock, you want to have your phone less than 10ft away as you go through the update process - and of course make sure that Bluetooth is turned on for your phone.

Hopefully that does the trick! But if not, please let us know if you're seeing any error messages from the app, or warning lights from the Smart Lock, as that might help us figure out what's going on.

I was having this same issue for a while.  I ended up removing all 4 batteries and waiting a minute.  Put it all back together and the update worked right away.
