Referrals shouldn’t be outsourced
I don’t like the idea of having to use a third party company to handle referrals, especially since I’m required to accept marketing emails from them. I think this is something that should be handled internally.

Hi jabell,
Thanks for the feedback. We do use third-party applications for a lot of features on our website and services - like payment processing, referrals, and actually this Community site. But we make sure that we have full control. SimpliSafe is in the business of providing home security - not in selling our customer info to outside parties.
