Wireless Battery Powered Video Doorbell
You website does not give enough specifics on the products. I ordered the doorbell system and when I was ready to install it I found out that it requires electricity to operate. I don't have electricity at my front door. I have been using a battery powered chime.
WHEN WILL YOU HAVE A BATTERY POWERED DOORBELL SYSTEM?
Thanks

I would like to get rid of my Ring doorbell and have an all SS system, so please tell the product manager. I am sure there are thousands in my shoes- just never had a wired doorbell.

Ring has a battery operated doorbell. So at this time we are paying for Simply Safe and Ring. We bought the Simply Safe system first and when the wiring on our doorbell failed, we had to order the Ring doorbell. Down the road we may replace our system and go to Ring for all. For now it all works.
We get a month of battery use per charge. I have an extra battery charged to replace.

Re: video doorbell
I have NO WAY to get AC wiring to my front door.
I need a video doorbell that will work with Simplisafe system. Does anyone have any suggestions?
It needs to be either battery or solar video doorbell

It would be great to have a wireless video doorbell vs having to wire it to an existing doorbell.

I accidentally ordered a doorbell thinking it was battery operated or had the option. I just moved into a new house and there is no doorbell, so for folks like me it is quite expensive to have someone come out and drill through concrete and setup electrical just for something like what ring doorbell has. I really would prefer to get something from SimpliSafe so it is fully integrated, vs. buying a ring.
Are there any plans for this?

Is a battery powered video doorbell in the works? The battery powered camera work great but would still like to have this option.

The same thing happened to me. I purchased two video doorbells, only to learn they need to be hardwired to work. This should be made clear in the product description.

4 years on from your question and still no sign of a battery powered version. I have just purchased an Eufy wireless doorbell as a result.
When will Simplisafe start listening to their customers?

SimpliSafe -- PLS catch up to Ring! I have 2 SimpliSafe whole-house systems, but one house does not have power at the front door ... so I have a lonely Ring BATTERY video cam there, and the battery lasts for 5-6 months, sometimes more, without a problem. But I also now have to SUBSCRIBE to a RING plan, along with 2 SimpliSafe plans, for that one application. Wasted resources but necessary. PLEASE develop and release a wireless doorbell video cam!

Hello,
The only reason I can't fire Ring right now and go completely with SimpliSafe is that you don't have a battery-powered wireless Video Doorbell Pro. I want to replace the battery-powered Ring doorbell at my patio door and use WiFi to connect to the system. It must also activate the door chime wirelessly as well.

Amen!!! We were gifted with an alarm system, only to find out our doorbell can’t be used bc we don’t have electricity at front door. I’m not spending $600 for electricity to be run. Returning Simple Safe and getting Ring instead.

4 years since the first comment on this string and still no wireless doorbell. Cancelled our SS subscription and have Ring now... waiting for SS to take customer customer requests and suggestions to heart, it's literally the title of this page.

Any updates on this it is very frustrating to have other systems have a battery-powered doorbell but not Simplisafe.
