We need a QoL improvement to the notification options. (notifications based on Alarm mode)

SimpliSafe! We need a QoL improvement to the notification options.

One of the most frustrating things to deal with is the flat choice to either receive all notifications or none. A major QoL improvement would be to allow notifications either All the time or only when alarm is on.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see options within each of the Alarm Modes HOME / AWAY / OFF this would allow perfect level of customization

  • Always On
  • Silent
  • Off

For me this has become a NEED TO HAVE. Manually turning off notifications is not a reliable option and considering moving on from SimpliSafe to another camera/security system just for this reason alone of not being able to fully manage notifications.

My Use Case: I have my front camera pointed in my driveway to notify me of car prowlers and unwanted guests - primarily needed at night.  However, I don't need to receive these notifications when I'm working from home and really only desire to receive them at night or when I'm not home.

I have my back camera pointed at my backyard to also notify me of unwanted guests. This has become useless because we use the back yard all the time when we're home and we turn off notifications otherwise it would be going off ALL THE TIME. We really need to have those notifications on when the alarm is on and we're not home. It's unstustainable practice to manually turn on/off notications whenever setting the alarm or leaving the house.
