Access to sensor diagnostics (battery, signal strength, etc.)

So it seems that SS Specialist have access to tools not on the dashboard - for example signal strength on sensors, possibly battery level.

This would be helpful at times for customers especially since apparently (according to one specialist) signal strength is directly tied to battery level.

Anyway to add something like this to the dashboard or as an extra menu item so it doesn't "poll" sensors every time yo access dashboard.

Thanks for the suggestion. It may by a bit counter to our "Simple" ethos, but I'll pass it on to our devs.

I am having trouble understanding how adding sensor battery levels to the app makes it more complicated.

I have 45 sensors and a camera on my system, not to mention two keypads.  They use different types of batteries depending on the device.

Am I supposed to just replace every battery in the system every time one sensor seems to fail to respond?  That is not "simple."  It is "simple minded!"

@krstrick  Your suggestion for battery strength is excellent. While available on the outdoor cameras, this indeed would be a great add for all sensors. As far as signal strength, and more, if you look at your phone app you will note the Connection Check Tool.  It is excellent for an indepth analysis of your sensors' connection and nicely done.

For SS, adding the connection check tool to the website dashboard and giving us battery strength view will be great for customers and your support agents. (And yes, if you were wondering, please respond you read this thread and will pass along to the crack and elite SS development team! HO HO HO

@fastbagger Your feature request sounded similar to this thread, so I've merged it here. We have submitted this to our dev team for their consideration. Once we hear more from them we'll provide an update in this thread.

@fastbagger This!!!! Including the battery percentage for the cameras is great but having them for the sensors would be great too. In the past couple of months we got random alerts two sensors had low batteries which we could've replaced together had we known

I'm having a similar issue with one of three sirens sounding upon entry ( delayed door sensor). Normally it quietly chimes from the station but now the sirens are sounding (not a full fledged alarm). Research indicates a siren may need new batteries but which one?

Would be nice if app could tell me the exact unit that needs the batteries replaced.

@advantagediagnostics The SimpliSafe mobile app should tell you when one of your devices has a low battery. On the home page of the mobile app, click on "learn more" underneath where it usually says "Everything is OK." From there, click the 🔄 refresh icon on the top left corner, and it will tell you if any of your devices have a low battery.
