Push notifications

I'm trying to get push notifications on my wife's iphone.  I go to the simplysafe app and go to alerts and notifications.  When I pressthe "allow notifications" button it tells me that I need to allow notifications in the phone settings.  When looking at the phone settings in the simplysafe app, the notifications are on.  I've confirmed all the software is up to date.  The phone is and iphone 14.  

Notifications work fine on my galaxy phone. So not sure what to do next.

Any help would be appreciated.
