SimplySafe Thumb Drive not working

I removed Adobe Flash on my laptop since it is no longer supported as of January 12, 2021. I didn't realize I could no longer access my SimplySafe Thumb Drive to access my devices or access codes. Anybody else experience this. Any ideas on what to do to access my thumb drive. My laptop reads it just fine but nothing else occurs or plays anymore.

Just discovered I have the same problem. Am unable to change  setting on base station.  Came here hoping for work solution.

Hi all,

We're aware of this issue, and while it only affects customers with the Original SimpliSafe system who do not have monitoring, we are working on a plan to make sure that we take care of our customers. Stay tuned for updates.

Surely you folks saw this coming. Any update to this rather big problem? I have one system I update via the app and a browser and I have two systems I update via the USB device and now I'm stranded. Realizing that Adobe's announcement regarding end-of-life was in mid-2017, it's unacceptable to have not had a solution in-place.

Hi all,

We do have a few options for all of our customers using the Original SimpliSafe system. While there are too many options to fully list here (as the options differ from customer to customer), we would love to talk about the options. Our Support Team can be reached by phone at 1-800-548-9508 from 8 AM to Midnight ET, 7 days a week.

@R.MILEY I suggest you go up a few posts and read the post from the SS Team.  Call support, ell them you have the original system and what are your options to upgrade.

Well, I called and the "too many options to list" really comes down to paying for the monitoring package to access your system or upgrade to the new simplisafe system.  Hardly too much to list.

Haven't called but I could guess it would be a sales pitch.

So basically they are dropping support for the original system. If they just said that at least I would know where I stand.

Just a word on the monitoring plan, I upgraded to the "interactive" plan and while the app shows all the settings anytime I try to change anything I get a message that says "unable to send changes to your base station"

I can turn the system on and off from the app but that's it. If I want to do any configuration changes it has to be done from the keypad at this point. Their method of using USB is outdated and abandoned, the app doesn't change settings. Time to downgrade the plan and put the $5 a month in my pocket.

Hi @beswald,

If you are able to arm and disarm your system but are unable to adjust any of your SimpliSafe system's settings, then it's possible that some of those settings may have gotten corrupted. You should be able to verify this by logging into your account and checking all of the settings and devices. On the Devices page, make sure to verify that all of the devices have a valid 5 character alpha-numeric serial number. Once any issue there have been addressed, you should be able to update any of the settings on your system.
