original SimpliSafe USB software

I followed instructions on the manual on page 11 to install the USB software on a Windows 7 PC. An error occured during install, and I was told to remove the USB and try again. When I did that, something happened to the USB. There was no software on it.

How can I get the software that came with the system on the USB?

You have to contact SimpliSafe by phone. This problem was an ongoing issue with the previous generations of systems in which the USB data would become corrupted.

I wish I could give more information, but without the search function, I cannot find what you need. However, I think I recall the company having to send a download of your last settings either via email or by plugging it into your Base Station and restoring the previously saved settings remotely. At this point, it (the USB Keychain Remote) will be unusable.

What software are you talking about?

I never had to use any software or load anything onto my computer to set up my system.

If you have SS3 (or the "All-New SimpliSafe"), you would not be aware of the software mentioned. The OP referenced "original SimpliSafe" in their Subject line. SS1 and SS2 use(d) software contained on the Master Keychain Remote to make changes to the system.
