Is the new system compatible with the old?

I have an older system. I was wondering if I just bought the base station and keypad would it work with all the older components?

@brandonwwinstead Unfortunately, there is no backwards compatibility with any of the SS3 components with SS2.  Cameras work fine separately. Full encryption, OTA updates etc is only possible with completely new equipment.

Does the doorbell camera work fine separately or is it only the standalone cameras?

Hi @nddaddio,

Just like the SimpliCam, the Video Doorbell Pro can be used even without a system. Because of that, both cameras can also be used with either the Original SimpliSafe or the All-New SimpliSafe!
