New Automated call for Test Mode

I was testing a couple new sensors I installed today and when I went into test mode, I got my normal C.O.P.S. call. I was surprised when, instead of a human, it was an automated call confirming the signal was recieved! You could press 1 to confirm you're good to go or press 0 to speak with a human. I haven't tested in a while so I'm not sure when the change happened, or if this is now common knowledge, but I'm happy about this change. I was always a bit reluctant to do tests because I hated wasting the dispatcher's time. Now I feel liberated to test away at my leisure and I won't be a distraction for legitimate calls to C.O.P.S.!

I think Captain was the first to report that, a couple months ago.  Too bad SS doesn't inform users of changes like this!

It's not something that requires notification before you find out while testing.

I agree. This change will mean I will test more frequently. I understand the people calling is (was) important, but I hated taking up their time.  I was testing a new motion sensor's placement and I went in and out of test mode multiple times while I made changes to its sensitivity and placement, and I did only get ONE call at the beginning, and only text messages after that. I can't recall if that was standard procedure for the live calls, but it's a good FYI.

^ true, just saying that any prior notification from SS about anything would be nice, as we never get prior notifications about even the most important/critical issues.
