How does the dispatch center respond?
Hello all,
So I was wondering, what happens if you request police dispatch to the COPS dispatcher?
Will they hang up, or will they stay on the line with you?
What's the protocol?

@tech_aiden we had an alarm condition about 2 years ago (sensor not installed properly, this one was on me) COPS called. I asked and the rep was more than ready to stay on the line while I went near but not in the affected area. The dispatcher confirmed that he did not see anyone in the area on my Simplicam in my back office and told him I wanted to look in the area but be at the ready to dispatch. Like I said, faulty install job on an entry sensor and no bad guy, but COPS dispatch hung in there at my request with no issues. Besides you wanting to question my decision on dispatch, yes, COPS is very accomodating.
