Lowering Entry Delay

I know there was a topic about this and I even commented on it but i can not find it right now....Anyway

I wanted to lower my AWAY entry delay below the 30 seconds that is allowed by the app. From what i remembered on the forum someone said you had to call and have simplisafe do that on their end?  I just got off the phone with them, and by the way i was very pleased with the response time, i only waited less than 5 minutes..probably like 3.... Anyway, the person i spoke to said she could only do it to 30 seconds and she cant do it any further...I then asked her to check with a supervisor about that that but there was not one available at the time and she would have one call me back. So as of now i do not know.

Is it correct that they cannot do it now?  Has anyone done this recently ? Kinda suck because we recently tested the 30 seconds and with my home I can go from one end to the other, up to the bedroom and back down before the alarm goes off. Granted, is is not that much time before it goes off but it enough to get in,  grab a few thing and leave....  Let me know... Thanks!

I don't know how to answer you question, but I know others have done it with the SS3 system.  Might have to call again and ask for a supervisor.  Another thought, you might consider using the app, a keyfob, or the smart lock with keypad.  This would allow you to have instant trigger setup with no delay at all.

At this time, 30 seconds would be the minimum Entry Delay for Away Mode, and zero seconds for Home Mode.

But don't forget, you can also set individual Entry, Motion, and Glassbreak Sensors to Instant Trigger - meaning that they'll ignore the time and trigger an alarm immediately.

Not to happy with that. I wish they would lower it. Not sure i want to do instant trigger due to the fact that we use different entry ways at different times.  That means everyone would pretty much be limited to use one way of entry all the time...  Il see... Is there any plans to lower that 30 seconds. Also why did others here say they had it done?  15 seconds is plenty of time for us to put in the code, wife even said to have it set to 10 seconds..Thanks

Under NORMAL conditions, 15 or even 10 seconds might be enough.  But I've had times when I've dropped something, or hit two buttons at once, or even (allegedly) entered the right code and had it ignored.  I have no problems with a 30 second delay on entrance(s) I actually use.
