Keypad displays Gear icon today

My keypad is indicating a system update is available and says it will take approximately 12 minutes to complete today. Anyone else see this indicator? Wondering what goodies are under the hood for this release?

@GoCowboys Received it last week. I believe there was a post by Johnny M (now probably buried in the thread) about it but will defer to him to repost. For what its worth, install went smoothly without issue.

And, now for a commercial break, as I am sure GoCowboys and many others know what's coming....

Hey SS, this post wouldn't have been necessary in the first place if there was a full blown CRC, or heck, an interim, single status page in the dashboard area that said in a updates section: Date xxxxxx, Applies to: SS3 Category: General update Level: Routine Ver #xxxx
Notes: Address the following bugs,  new features etc.

You can get someone on the Social team to write it, post it in minutes. I know CRC is in the works, addressing this gap can be done quickly and quite painlessly.  Thank you and now back to our show....

Interesting. Thanks Captain. I did look back in history but probably didn't scan far enough back to catch Johnny's post. Glad to know the update is solid. Did you happen to notice any changes with system behavior?

@GoCowboys it appears the "check for system update" was changed a bit, now clearly states what it is doing and then shows the results. Believe that it now checks for updates on SS's backend servers in real time, if I remember JohnnyM's post correctly.

Seems you have a crystal ball with you, captain! Please refer to my latest post here for news on Firmware Update 2.1.
