Full alarm due to keypad batteries

I have someone i know who i helped hook there ss up awhile ago and last night at 2am the alarm went off he said that he went to turn it off but realized it was never even armed and when he turned it off it kept beeping and then goes full alarm again. Keypad says low batteries so how is that when 2 weeks ago mine just announced it through the base station saying warning front door keypad batteries low but his went full on alarm and the alarm wasn't even armed. He call ss and they said they have no clue. Any suggestions? He did put new batteries in and so far good, but why alarm going off.

All it said was alarm front door keypad, and batteries low

Hmm, thats strange.  The only way a keypad should be able to set off the alarm is via the panic button.  I wonder if the keypad has an internal problem that triggers that with low batteries.  It shouldn't, none of mine have ever done that, but maybe that one does.  If it were me I'd keep bugging SS to get a replacement keypad.  They might not do it, unless the keypad has other problems like randomly not lighting up or certain buttons sometimes do not register a button press, hint hint.

Thays what i told him, i said there has been problems with the panic button on the keypads but his was in the off mode and it just started blaring and the keypad and timeline says it was the front door keypad that triggered alarm and that batteries were low. I said the same thing to him that i had my base station say something to us at 1 or 2 in the morning about the batteries in keypad plus my app told me. He replaced the batteries and lets see if that does it because it has me stumped lol
