3 issues with system

1. The announcement gets cut off when I arm or disarm the system. Instead of saying “SimpliSafe on, home” it says “simpli” or sometimes just “Sim” and the rest gets cut off. I’ve seen others post about this issue, and a battery pull from the base station is recommended. This hasn’t helped. The issue has been happening for many months.

2. When I open the SS app on my Android phone, it automatically puts the system into home mode. I’ve tried reinstalling the app, clearing cache, etc. but it still continues to happen.

3. In the past couple weeks, the system has armed itself in home mode without anyone touching it. We’ve been nowhere near the keypads, the key fobs, or the app. All of a sudden we hear an announcement saying the system is in home mode. This has happened at least 3 separate times.

Bonus #4: Your forum login process is awful. I just typed this entire post, went to submit it, and it cleared out the whole thing and asked me to log in again (even though I had logged In a few minutes earlier).

I have the same issue with #3 interesting that I am also on Android. For me it started about two updates ago. Today it happened 2x so far. Happens in Home or Away mode also. It's a pain because it makes be check my phone since it pings my App.

For #2 I have not seen that.

For #1 mine only cuts off if I put in in Away mode and then open the door to leave before it's done saying what it is saying. This does not bother me.

Hi @mjm_3, 

1. I'm sorry to hear that the Base Station reset hasn't been helpful in restoring your voice prompts. Please know that our engineers are working on a permanent solution to this issue, which should come in a future firmware update. Once a permanent solution has been found, an update will be provided in this thread.

2. This is concerning. How long ago did you notice this? If you try logging out of the app and logging back in, does this still happen?

3. When your Base Station announces that your system is in Home Mode, was it already armed in that setting? Our engineers are aware of an issue where the Base Station will periodically announce its current status after sending an update, and they are currently working on a fix.

@emily_s​ #2: This has been happening for months. I have tried everything. I have logged out of the app and back in. I have cleared cache and data. I have made sure the app is updated. I have un-installed and reinstalled the app.

#3: Each time it's happened, the system has been in Off mode and has gone to Home on its own.

Omg, it just happened again. What is up with your community's login? This is so frustrating. I typed a full response to your questions, and went to submit it, and it took me back to the login screen Again. And of course I lost all the text I just typed. Is this issue with your community being addressed too? Seems like something your web developers should be looking into.
