New Product Release - Drone with ....

The NY Times ran an article today interviewing the relatively new CEO Mr. C Cerda, formerly of Roomba (IRobot) fame, concerning the rumored release of a new security drone for the Simplisafe product line.  Mr. Cerda stated in the article that Simplisafe would not have a "wannabe Amazon knockoff of it's rumored security drone that reportedly was equipped with a camera.

"Our R&D team of course looked at the competitors but knew we had to do one better, at a lower cost and a more capable, easy to use product"  The interview, once getting past the usual company and CEO background stuff, finally gets to the details of the new product that will be formerly announced on April 1st: The Simplisafe Drone Pro.  Mr. Cerda stated "This is a product that will set Simplisafe apart again from the rest of the industry, not only having a 20 minute flight time, infrared directional guidance and 1080 HD camera, but also a police grade taser probe designed to protect a customer's family and property."  While Mr. Cerda declined the price point for the product at the time of the interview, he did say it will be available in "Cloud White" or "Blackhawk Night".
