HGTV Home 2022 - Protected by Simplisafe again!!!

Watched the HGTV Dream Home 2022 special this evening and was glad to see HGTV gave ADT the good old "heave ho" and got SS back again protecting it's latest Dream Home. Cannot believe the "Property Brothers" would be promoting ADT for the bucks and felt like taking a hot shower after seeing their commercials for that unethical company. Yes, possibly a bit strong but my opinion is based upon personal experience on dealing with ADT on a first hand, not very friendly basis.  Tip of the hat to Simplisafe Marketing Dept for getting back in the fold with HGTV!!!

BTW, if anyone doubts me on the practices of ADT, Google WBBM TV Channel 2 Chicago and ADT investigative report from about 2 years ago. Quite entertaining and informative.

Did they cover SimpliSafe's money-sucking policy of requiring a subscription ($$$)...JUST to be able to interface your device to Amazon ?

Only "smart" device on the market requiring this

Could you imagine having to pay a subscription for every one of your HUE bulbs to work with Amazon

@CACarpenter It's a matter of priorities and your view of value.  For smart integration with SS, its limited at best with third party vendors, and, for example, with Alexa or Google, you can 1. turn your system on or 2. confirm that it is on. Hardly a huge feature, and not a major advantage with the 24.99 plan. Should note, however, SS made a significant move to improve the customer experience by adding the phone app access to the free category. That, in itself, I would say is a more important benefit to customers than the Alexa integration in my book, I still take the position the 24.99 plan is the best overall value in the business.

While I believe they should be applauded for making this move I feel we should also be honest and say it was long overdue and only brought them to parity with many other services that had been doing this for years already.
