Wireless outdoor camera

I bought the new wireless outdoor camera but I couldn't connect it to base station. It says on the app to update software using keypad. I tried it on the keypad but keypad says software up do date. However the app won't go to the next page just keeps saying update software.  I uninstall the app and reinstall it, same thing. Please help. I like the camera but I would return it if it's of no use.
