Water Damage on brand new Camera-my fault
Unfortunately, I damaged my brand new camera by getting it wet.
Unlike my other outdoor SimpliSafe camera, this one did not have the outdoor kit installed. My bad.
What I wanted to share with the forum is that I after I very carefully dried the camera out, it still failed to work.
Lesson learned: Protect your camera from the elements if you place it outdoors.
