Video Doorbell

The doorbell sends a silent text notification to my Samsung S20 FE phone when it activates, but I can't figure out how to get the notification to make a sound on my phone so I know in real time to look at the SimpliSafe app and respond.

Would that be a setting on your phone?  Maybe someone who has a Samsung can offer more advice.

Hi @jbursell,

The SimpliSafe app doesn't have any settings that allow you to silence the Push Notifications so it must be a setting on your phone. I don't have a Samsung phone myself but I do believe some general settings about an app's push notifications can be adjusted through the notification itself. The next time you receive a notification for the Video Doorbell Pro having been rung on your phone give this a try:

  • Press and hold on the notification.
  • The notification may then present some options regarding its sound preferences.
  • The default option should be something like "May ring or vibrate based on phone settings".
  • If you need to, there should then be a ‚öô gear icon on the screen that will take you into some more advanced settings for those notifications.
