Video Doorbell Pro misbehaves with 1080p video resolution
Video Doorbell Pro misbehaves with 1080p video resolution.
I was having issues hearing the people standing in front of video doorbell pro when responding to a doorbell push. The live action was not allowing me to hear the responses from the person at the doorbell. They could hear me, but I could not hear them.
The tech support people helped me to get it working again by resetting the video doorbell pro back to its factory settings and then adding the camera again. It worked great until I changed the camera’s video setting from 720p to 1080p. The problem came back.
I confirmed that the problem went away when I set the video back to 720p.
Tech support has been alerted to this problem. Until a fix is found for this issue, tech support should tell users of this anomaly rather than having to go through the longer process of removing and adding the camera to their system.
Also worth mentioning, the Wi-Fi speed was confirmed to be more than acceptable for 1080p video resolution.

Hi @jhuppe,
The range between the Video Doorbell and the Base Station could also be another potential factor that would make the Video Doorbell unstable at 1080p. How far away is the Base Station from the doorbell? Would it be possible to move the Base Station closer to see how the doorbell performs at 1080p?
Likewise, are there any dense objects between the Video Doorbell and Base Station? Things like storm doors, dense brick or stone walls, and metal appliances can cause a connection issue if they're in the way. Placing the Base Station in an open space away from these types of objects will help with its connection.
