Video Doorbell Nightmare

I have invested 3-1/2 hours attempting to install the video doorbell and m ybell still doesn't ring!  Support told me that I needed to install a connector on my doorbell and that there was no charge for the part but I had to pay shipping which was three dollars and change.  That is the worst example of customer service!  The connector is now installed and not only does my bell not ring but I can't set up the camera.  The design of the connection plate is also ridiculous.  The terminal screws are entirely too short and a plastic 'knob' to the left leaves little room for a screwdriver.  Had I purchased directly from SimpliSafe the useless product would be returned and a refund demanded.  Bottom line ... don't waste your money on this piece of junk!

So sorry to hear about your experience. When you have the Video Doorbell connected, do you see any lights on the unit at all? From what you're describing, it might not be receiving power. It's possible that the contacts in the back of the main camera unit are not properly connecting with those on the mounting bracket; or there might be something else wrong with the circuit.

One thing that might help is if we send you a full replacement, so you can start fresh. Let me know, and I can arrange it for you.
