Video Doorbell Mini-lock screw Replacements

SimpliSafe should offer the mini-lock screws on the doorbells as a part OR send multiple screws with the product.  I've installed two of the doorbells and lost the screws to both of them in the dirt near the install location.  They are easy to loose - black and tiny - and when in the dirt they are GONE.

I would have been more than willing to pay a few bucks plus shipping for replacements but they are not offered.  Thanks for sending a whole new doorbell replacement but, to tell you the truth, I'd rather have actually paid for the part. Instead, I'll pick the screw out of the new doorbell before sending the doorbell back to you.

So thanks but I think you've got better options.

Hi all,

For those of you who need either a replacement security screw or a replacement screwdriver for that security screw, feel free to contact our Support Team by phone at 1-800-548-9508. We'd be happy to replace either of those for your free of charge!

I've emailed multiple times with no response. I need the back mounting plate that has the terminals for the wires.

Mini Lock Screw Does Not Arrive

I was interested to see the first comment.  When I attempted to install the Simplisafe video doorbell, I had to put it on and take it off a few times in the process of trying to get it to work with my digital chime (I got a Simplisafe kit for that, but the kit didn't work.  I eventually bought a traditional chime doorbell for my Simplisafe video doorbell, and all is working now).  Anyway, in the process of putting on and taking off the video doorbell, I stripped the "mini lock screw" that goes in the bottom.  I have now ordered the mini lock screw twice, and on two occasions I have been told that the part is on its way.  I have yet to receive either order.  There is a disconnect somewhere for ordering this part.  The Simplisafe personnel apparently see it as a part that can be ordered, but the part does not ship or arrive.

What size screw does it take? I tried a 4-40 but it didn't quite fit. Is it an M3 size?

I ran into the same issue, stripping out the screw head.  I requested a replacement before Christmas, and did eventually get a tracking number.  Problem is the package got put on hold at a post office in Charlo, MT "at customer request".  I live in MO, and definitely did not request it be held anywhere. Looked again today and USPS has sent it back.  I put in another request this afternoon.  We'll see what support has to say.

You may see security set screws also referred to as "grub screws", FYI.

I reached out to customer support. They do not provide replacement safety screws, which contradicts the admins post. I asked for the dimensions and they could not provide that either. They told me that I need to take the camera off and go to a hardware store and find a replacement safety screw myself. Very inconvenient and not helpful at all.
