On Hold

Squealing

My cameras has had this high pitch sound from day one. Keeping an eye on someone from a distance is impossible as they always know when the cam is active.  Y’all need to fix this problem. If someone breaks in they’ll know immediately where the cam is . I had a girlfriend that used to just unplug me if I wanted see what was going on like I’m sure lots of men use it for and vice versa. I’m not happy with that and this is the only indoor cam you offer . Your team need be working on some higher end stuff pinholes. Or ptz . Good thing I gotta back up system. I know you all are selling based on diy and affordable setup but you should offer some higher end stuff so upgrades can be achieved. I mean there’s no hiding one of these noise makers along with its size I currently put mine in a macramé hanging I guess I could paint it to blend better. Over the last year with a multi cam system in and outdoors you learn how to hide the pinhole cameras and they up to 8 mp very clear and sharp. I wish I could integrated the two together.

Hi @Electronic_wiz ,

Checking in again with an update. Our engineering team attempted to contact, but was unable to reach you. If you're still experiencing this issue, please let us know and I can request that they reach out again.

Hi,

That 'squealing' that you mention is not typical behavior. I've forwarded your case to our engineering team, and we are currently investigating.

Having same issue and it’s May 2024 , contacted support team. , via the link from SimpliSafe topic no help at all.  I explained everything in first contact text.  Only to be told it was the shutter clicking.
HUH?     Then asked me what what issue was.

It’s like they didn’t read what I first wrote
And finally they said sorry we have to pass along to engineers Ming.  As problem is with camera.   AYFK.
    So now what.

@nf_matt sounds like you have a SimpliCam Indoor Camera specifically? We might just need to replace your unit. Please contact our Support team again for assistance.
