Simplicam - SSCM1 vs SS2-CAM

Hello all... I just purchased several Simplicams from BestBuy.  On the website, they were listed as model SS2-CAM, but the actual devices say SSCM1 on the back of them.

I've yet to be able to find any information that states whether or not I received old / outdated units, and if so, what the differences between the models numbers is.

Does anyone have any information that can be provided to me?  Thanks!!!

There are only 2 cameras. Indoor simplicam and doorbell cam.  You have the current camera.

Thank you for the information.  It's just odd seeing numerous model numbers floating around for the same product.  I appreciate the help!

Yeah I'm not sure if there are actual varying model numbers or just misprints.  It could be that SS has had different revisions, but it's all the same basic camera.

I have the same question. I found a camera listed as SS2-CAM. The camera I own is a model SSCM1. I'd like to know if there's a newer model. If you shop for one on SimpliSafe's website, no model number is shown. I'm satisfied with my current camera, want to buy a second one. If I find SSCM1 cheaper than SS2-CAM, that's what I'll buy.

I opine they are one and the same, just a difference between the formal SS model number and a reseller/dealer stocking number/SKU.
