How do you take pic of QR code with android  phone in order to set up security camera?

You don't take a pic of the QR code. The security cam scans the QR code that shows on your phone screen when you go through the camera setup.

The problem is, the QR code generated is too small to reliably be registered by the system.  It works better to take a screen shot and blow it up some.

Something changed? Never had a problem with the cameras reading the code of my phones.

Portrait/landscape? Turn on (or maybe turn off) screen auto rotation.

If you have an Android phone, display the QR code then press and hold the power + volume down key at the same time.  This will take a snapshot of the QR code.  You can then go into your photos to display it and enlarge it for the camera to see.  That's exactly what I had to do.
