Record Camera with system disabled?

Is it possible to record with the SimpliCam while the system is off?

My apartments require us to turn the system off if Maintenance is coming. I don't love it, but I also don't love giving them the code to turn it off.

Is it possible to set the camera to record with the system off for a span of time? I'd like to have it pointed at the front door so I can record them while they're inside.

Yes, in the app goto settings, cameras, select the correct camera (do this for each cam you want to record), then select privacy shutter, and make sure it's open during the off position.  Go back 1 screen and make sure motion detection is also set to on.  This will record any time there is motion when the system is in OFF mode.

Thank you, dp.  It's a function I could definitely use but didn't know it was available.  I still have a lot to learn about the three cameras I purchased.
