QOS causes Smart Alarm camera to not connect....
I have been fighting my Smart Alarm camera literally for months trying to get it to work. It would never connect reliably to my Asus ZenWIFI AX router. Today, on a wim, I turned off adaptive QOS, and it immediately connected without any issues.
Does anyone have any idea why that would be the case? Why would adapative QOS make this camera unable to connect?
I did try turning adaptive QOS back on, and the camera would not connect. Turned it off, no connection issue. I did it several times, so I am pretty sure that is the issue.

@robin_43bf26 I connected with our engineers on this, and as far as we know QoS shouldn’t cause a problem with your system. Could you please provide me with more details about your router so we can look into this further?

I had issues using the cameras with my Asus router (RT-N66u). Even turning off QOS features didn't help. From what I can find Asus has some proprietary security software blocking camera/webcam feeds incorrectly in some cases. But I recommend staying away from Asus for use with SimpliSafe.
I found a TP Link router does not have any issues even with QOS features enabled. And their mesh network system works seamlessly with the cameras.
