Problems connecting outdoor camera to wifi extender

I have set up a wifi extender close to the location of an out door camera in order to improve signal strength to he camera.  The camera was working with tis same extender previously, but has since lost the connection and will not reconnect.  The camera will connect with other networks in the house, but with lower signal strength due to distance.  Other devices will connect to the wifi extender.  I have tried uninstalling the camera and reinstalling it as well as resetting the and resetting up the extender.  All to no avail
