Privacy shutters never operate

The privacy shutters on my installed cameras do not respond. Actually never have except for on instance when all shutters closed because of an error sent from SimpliSafe. I have removed power and then restored power, changed settings from Off, Home, Away and saved each setting (on/off) on each camera with no resulting difference. I have several cameras and none of the shutters are operational.

@lonepeak77 are these recently acquired cameras or have you had them for sometime.  The reason I ask is there are known issues with the firmware on some of the older cameras.  I have 3 Simplicams and the privacy guard shutters work as they should.  I would definitely call SS to troubleshoot and replace if not corrected.
