Picks up my 65# dog movements!

Newbie here…. Outdoor camera keeps detecting motion from our larger dog (lab)…. I thought systems could differentiate between humans and animals? When system in off mode, the system begins to record my dog movements up close to camera area… we have alarm to camera turned off… what more should I do?

Hi kbdewar,

 

The Outdoor Camera currently is active at all times, so it doesn't pay attention to the armed state of your system. But it does have a People Only Mode.

 

I would suggest double-checking that the People Only setting is on in the Camera Settings. You might even want to toggle it off, and back on again, just in case the setting isn't saved correctly.

open your app and at the bottom click on cameras, then click the settings icon up in righthand corner (looks like a gear), click on the camera you want to set up, then click on motion detection (turn on if not already), go down to motion type and select people only. you can set your sensitivity also. hope this helps

@larrhurd is correct. It's in the Camera Settings in the app:

Menu > My System > Camera Settings > [Your Camera] > Motion Detection

"People Only" is an option under MotionType.
