outdoor camera video is upside down.

How do I get the outside camera to show right side up video on my phone?

@williams3214​ On the App goto My System/Camera Settings, pick the camera and there is a rotate 180switch

@eamail2001​ I found the switch to rotate 180.  The switch is on.  Right now I  have the camera sitting upside down and the picture is perfect.

Hi @williams3214 ,

Just one question for you. Do you have your camera installed like this?

Or do you have it hanging with the magnetic mount at the top?
Unfortunately, right now the Outdoor Camera is only designed to go up like pictured. There's currently no way to rotate the image.

@davey_d​ OK, thanks.  I was hoping to rotate the image.  I haven't permanently mounted the camera yet.  I have it on a flat surface to test it out.  I'm trying different locations to see which one is best.  It won't stand alone as pictured.

I have the same problem with than upside down image. It has been working fine until today. I have followed the advice you gave Williams3214 but there is no change.

@bill_h_anderson​ if I have this right, you already have the Rotate Image 180º option enabled in Camera Settings? And it doesn't seem to be working for you? Of course, don't forget to hit Save on the top right, to lock in the setting.

@minnesotabeercompany​ have you tried removing the Outdoor Camera from your system and then re-adding it? After you do that, try activating the Rotate Image 180° setting.

@cow461​ You should be able to find this setting in the SimpliSafe app by taking the following steps:

  1. In the SimpliSafe mobile app, tap on "Cameras" on the bottom of the app screen
  2. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner
  3. Select the camera that you want to rotate the view of
  4. In the camera's settings screen, the option to "Rotate Image 180°" option will be under the "General" section
Once you rotate the camera's view, be sure to hit "Save" on the top right of the screen to keep the setting.

This happened to us also, after we charged the outdoor camera for the first time and put it back up.   Right now it is mounted upside-down with the rotate 180 turned on (in order for it to display correctly).  When turning off 180 it is upside-down right now.  So when we have it mounted correctly, it only displays right with 180 off.  Prior to recharging, 180 was on and the camera displayed correctly.
