I'm fairly certain it's retail vs. OEM packaging but I'm not 100% sure. I asked a similar question 77 days ago:

Hi @scott_915,
Worthing has it right. CMOB1 is the SKU number for Outdoor Cameras sold from the SimpliSafe website, and SCM301 is the SKU for Outdoor Cameras sold from our retailers like BestBuy and Lowes. There is no difference between the products.

From my understanding CM0B1 is an older version of the camera and won't work with the new gen equipment.
