Outdoor Camera - Alarm or Alert

Will be installing two outdoor cameras tomorrow. When the motion sensor is activated does the outdoor camera trigger an alarm that goes to the monitoring dispatch or does it only generate an alert to my phone.

I ask because one of the outdoor cameras will cover my driveway and front door. So, for example, when the mail carrier walks past the cars up to the front door, will that send an alarm that I'll need to cancel or will it just let me know by way of alert to my phone, only, that I gots mail?
