Outdoor Camera A/C Plug

I bought the plug for my outdoor camera because the solar panel just wasn't cutting it. Can I remove the battery and just have it run on the outlet, or do I need to leave the battery in?

Hi @Sanlev, the Outdoor Camera does require the battery at a minimum to function. Even if you were to plug it in to power source, you'll still need to have the battery inserted in order for it to power on.

Hi, I bought a power cord for my outdoor camera too. Recently the camera died and the battery is dead too.  Shouldn’t the power cord keep it charged?  I confirmed there is power to the outlet although we did have a blackout for a significant time.  If the battery died during the blackout, would the power cord automatically re charge it?

@landoman66​ Yes, the power cable should consistently keep the Outdoor Camera charged. Even after the blackout, once power was restored the cable should have started charging the camera again. Something may have happened to your power cable, so I would reach out to our Support team for a new one.
