How do you access the 8x zoom feature? Is this just pinch and zoom on the iPhone?

Yep, just like that. It might work better for you if you put the playing footage in fullscreen mode, by turning your phone sideways.

So this is an outdoor camera with NO ZOOM is what you are saying. It is misleading to state that it has 8X Zoom. I am returning my outdoor cameras.
@ranger our cameras use digital zoom. Unfortunately, no fancy AI-based zoom like flagship smartphones have, or physical zoom lenses that can actually capture a zoomed image. But you can enlarge the pixels to better view on small screens.

It should be understood this a digital zoom, not optical. It's merely cropping the video to get the effect of zoom.

Almost sounds like misleading information. How is 8x calculated? I can do that finger crop with any of my cameras, even my other home Ring cameras.
The zoom is terrible. Can’t even read a license plate on a car parked within a few feet of the camera
