Not compatible with chiming doorbells?

I had the same issue as many others where the button will not ring the doorbell, and there is only a solid yellow light (very infrequently.) Tried plugging it in all night and doing a re-set with tech support on the phone. When I slide the doorbell onto the bracket (which is mounted,) the doorbell rings, but the button won't cause it to ring. Finally, I was told that they are out of chime adapters (which wouldn't work anyway according to this representative) and eventually told that the doorbell won't work with my system because it chimes instead of ding-dongs!

It would be nice to have that on the box if true. However, I have emailed support because I have a hard time believing that this is true.

Very frustrated after spending hours trying to get this installed yesterday (a holiday - no tech support.)

I have the same issue. I removed the doorbell unit to reset it and used a USB connection to ensure that the battery was charged. When I reinstalled the video doorbell, my chime sounded. However, pushing the doorbell does NOT cause the chime to chime and the only LED that I ever see is a yellow one that goes out after 5-7 seconds.

I have been unable to install the doorbell via the mobile app. I NEVER get a flashing white LED.

I see that you posted this 9 days ago. Have you received any help from tech support on things to try?

I am having the same issue.  I was sent a second door bell but getting the same response from that one.

I was told the same thing from Hello Tech who was trying to get it to work.  he said it is my chime. I would hate to take that down and put up a simple one if that is not the real issue.  has anyone done that? did it work?

Getting really desperate here as I have done everything that I was told to do, additional booster on my electric panel, the chime adapter, new ringer, nothing has worked so far.

thanks
