New Outdoor Camera
Your loyal SimpliSafe users have been waiting for this outdoor camera. Looks like it will be a great solution.
BUT, why would you not allow those of us who have been growing your company of the past few years the opportunity to purchase the new camera individually as an add on? Very Very Very disappointing and a bad corporate decision.

Hi Jeffreyscottsmith,
When we launched the Outdoor Camera, we did have it available for everyone - even individual purchase. But due to an overwhelming demand, coupled with ongoing global supply chain issues, we've completely run out of stock. But when we do have more in, which will hopefully be soon, we'll make sure that you know.

Hi, what is the current estimated lead time for this option? I work in procurement and am very aware of the current supply chain issues faced by all industries, but I also know that we have estimated lead times/ship dates for production. If you’re not even taking orders for this add I worry that it’s 6 months to a year out.
Please advise when you can, as we’re considering cancelling our subscription if we can’t get exterior cameras added to our current system. Thanks.

Okay, we can get the outdoor cameras now. I have two. I want to buy more, but I find it annoying that the cameras video 24/7 no matter how the base station is set. I really do not need to video me mowing my lawn. We should have a setting that turns the cameras off when the security is turned off. Is this issue being addressed?
