Motion sensor and simplicam

I am testing a motion sensor and I set the off mode to secret alert so that I'd get a text whenever the motion sensor was tripped.  The problem is that every time the motion sensor is tripped and sends a message, both of my simplicams open up and start recording.  I'd prefer not to have that happen.  Is there any way to prevent the camera from turning on for this alert?

I don't think there's a way to disable this. I personally like this feature but can definitely see how it can get annoying. I have a lot of sensors set to alert-only in home and off mode, so I have a lot of video clips in my timeline. Hasn't caused any problems though, so far.

To limit the frequency, I only set the sensors outdoors and in areas of the house where I don't usually go (e.g. guest room) to text alerts, so the indoor cameras coming on alert me when there's motion in those areas without setting off an actual alarm. It's usually just my dogs, but I like knowing.

The cams are pretty simple and record on any event from the alarm.  It may be annoying, but if anything ever happened you would likely appreciate it.
