iPad audio issue resolved for doorbell

When using the SimpliSafe app on an iPad have the iPad rotated to portrait position rather than in the landscape position.  Audio is received ok from the doorbell to the iPad if it is in landscape position but the microphone button on the app does not activate correctly to open channel for speaking to someone from the iPad to the doorbell.
