Indoor Camera shutter opened
Hi SimpliSafe,
l’ve had my system now for just over four years and have never seen this before.
l guess it’s a matter of being in the right place at the right time, but still.
Current base station - 2.17.0.34
App - 2300.0.0
I was home and my system was off, l happened to be near the base station and saw the light ring flash white a couple of times.
There was no audio announcement, then all of my indoor camera shutters clicked open, this included three original black cameras and two smart cameras. They all recorded for about one minute to the timeline and then all closed.
Just thought l better report this strange behaviour
thanks
Craig.

Hi Craig,
Thanks for reaching out. Did you also happen to hear the Base Station announce its current state? For example, "Alarm Of".
After certain actions, when the Base Station returns to its previous state (e.g. when it auto-exits from Setup & Naming Mode, or the Keypad Menu), the system re-sends its status to the app. So if it was already in Off Mode, it re-sends the signal to announce that it's in Off Mode. When that happens, the cameras react as well, prompting the recordings.
So that could be what happened with your system.

Hi @davey_d
The system was in off mode, and had been for at least an hour, l was home alone and there was no interaction with the keypad or app, then l just noticed a couple of white flashes from the base station ring and then heard the camera shutters all open, there was definitely no audio announcements of any type from the base.
l haven’t seen it happen again and that was the first time l had witnessed that behaviour in over four years since having the system.
thanks
Craig
