@jterryneil The SImplicam motion sensor will only alert you and will start recording, but not set off an alarm. Note, that in my experience, the motion sensor in the camera is very limited. I have 3 Simplicams, and have a separate motion sensor with all 3 to work in conjunction with the cameras. Works great.
No as when my youngest son is home I will arm it in home mode but I open the privacy shutter on all of them so when he walks around I can see what trouble he is causing lol but it does not set off the alarm only get an alert on phone app. Works beautifully
