How to delete camera recordings?

I am new to the SimpliSafe camera and am wondering how to delete all the footage that I have created?

You can delete videos one at a time. Click on the timeline video and then expand it by tapping the video. When it comes up, all videos are listed below it. Click on the 3 dots and you can choose delete for a single video.  I would like to have the ability to delete all of them with one click

@etrolley thanks! Yes, this feature was added in 2021, as a response to customer feedback.

@davey_d I don't see anyway on the app to delete multiple recordings at once. Also, there doesn't seem to be a way to turn off motion detection when I'm home and my alarm isn't on.

@tonymnace yes, to be clear, the ability to remove videos can only be done one at a time.

@sevenisbest you can't delete them. After approximately 30 days they are deleted.  You can download them btw.

Thank you for the reply.
This would be a terrific feature to add to SimpleSafe.
There should simply be a delete button on each recording.

Please add a delete button / seems very strange that here isn't one.  It's not about storage, more about privacy.  Also, why is there an arbitrary 1min limit on the length of a recording?  What if something serious was going on and you really needed a longer recording? I have both a Nest Secure system at home, and a Simplisafe system at work.  I've got to say the Nest system is better because of little annoying things like this.  With Nest, you can export recordings of any length.   I'll reflect that constructively in reviews so hopefully these little annoying bugs get ironed out.  Other things that they could improve on easily are:  automatic refresh of system status on the dashboard like the Nest system does, an outdoor camera product is a must - I actually had to install a Nest outdoor camera on my work warehouse even though i have a Simplisafe security system!  I am installing more Nest cams this week too.  Also, add to your product line a small wall plug style USB UPS with a couple of hours of run time for the indoor cameras.  Thanks!

They do not allow deletion - it is designed as a "secure recording" system.  That is, you cannot be forced to delete video of those breaking in or invading.  Nobody except you can see the video except during an alarm event.  And it is automatically deleted after a month.

I believe that a recording from an alarm event goes for 5 minutes.

A security system and external cameras really don't work together well.  The security system is designed to notify of intrusion into a secured area, and having synched cameras in that area is a good match.  Exterior security is a completely different methodology.  A lot happens out there (good people and bad, animals, wind, varying temperatures, sun and shadow) and it is very difficult to reliably trigger on only valid events  and all valid events (when "valid events" is wildly varying from place to place).  So the best methodology for this is 24/7 recording.  That way, you can keep an eye out for concerning events, and be sure to have a recording if events happen.

It would be a poor business decision for a security company (particularly one with a tremendously long development cycle)  to spend resources on developming a UPS.  Such a thing has no tie to the security system itself, and there are already scads of them on the market.

Ok - you can't delete the video.

Can you "pause" it.   I played a video and it bluetooths to my earpiece.  I can't stop it.  it's very annoying since 59 seconds of the video is wind noise.  My video plays over and over and over...
