Duplicate doorbell camera notifications

Whenever there's a doorbell event - motion or a ring - I get 2 notifications from the app on my phone.

My wife has the app installed on her phone but she only gets a single notification.

I must have something configured differently in my app but I can't find what it is. Any suggestions about what would cause this?

Hi @MB43,

That's certainly very strange. Do you have Push Notifications set up for a SimpliSafe Security system as well? If so, do you get duplicates for those notifications too? If you haven't already, we recommend uninstalling and then reinstalling the SimpliSafe app on your phone. Once the app has been reinstalled, log back in and make sure Push Notifications are set up for the Doorbell still, then test out the notifications again. If you continue to have issues, we recommend contacting our Support Team for additional troubleshooting.

I do have push notifications for the security system enabled and I do NOT get duplicates for those. Only from the camera.

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the app but it made no difference.

I googled this, because I'm having the exact same issue.  One doorbell alert, 2 notifications.  Hoping y'all can correct this glitch!!

Having the same issue.  Duplicate push notifications for the doorbell cam motion alerts.

I'm having the same issue. At first it was double notifications for the camera and now I'm receiving triple notifications. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

I have started getting duplicate notifications also. I am currently getting four every time. It started out with two, then went to three and now four duplicate notifications. Started about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Very frustrating.

Since I update to the iPhone 12 Pro, I am also getting double notifications for any camera or doorbell. Please advise.

Hello I just put a ticket in for this as well. I noticed it after I switched WIFI networks. It could have been a coincidence though. Not sure if the android app just happened to update around the same time. I too however am now getting duplicate notifications for every camera.

Issue seems to be resolved for me after an outage last night. I also undid the battery from the base station to reset it. Doubt that the base station reset did anything to fix it. Pretty sure it was just coincidence.
