Doorbell will not stop ringing the bell

@ zirnstein.juergen doorbell only works on analog systems, not digital.

I have this same problem. I was told that I needed a chime connector to make it work. SS sent me one, and when I used it, it caught on fire and my house now smells like an electrical fire.

The Ring doorbell comes with all tools needed, almost to excess, compared to having to call SS for something that shoudl be included be default.

I now feel stuck ... I think that I may need to call an electrician, buy new mechanical chimes, and get it installed for fear of a fire if I try to connect with my digital chime.

This has been a nightmare - spent most of my Christmas down time learning more about doorbells than I care to know...

I had one where the button got stuck.  Had SS replace it.

I had an issue where the doorbell chime (universal) kept ringing non-stop. Simplisafe send me a replacement doorbell (refurbished) and a chime connector which had the same effect. I am no longer going to try to use a video doorbell due to these issues.

Frustrating.
