doorbell wedge

Do you sale the doorbell wedges to turn the camera from right to left (or left to right)?  Where can I order it?  Are there any other doorbell accessories for sale?  Or coming soon for sale?
I also read there is a kit to convert the indoor camera to an outdoor camera?  Where can I order it?  I'd like more info but don't see anything on the website.

You are correct about three face plates from BB (got mine there) and based on other posts, SS only provides one faceplate.  The wedge in either case is to account for siding, so it tilts the camera up or down, NOT left or right.

phillihp, please change your username so it doesn't include your email address - i.e., security and forum spammers.

I just purchased the Video Doorbell from BB to go with the rest of my system.. I am in dire need of the lateral wedge. My doorbell is located on a side wall and need to get it facing more of the walkway etc. for it to properly do what it is supposed to do. SS please listen to us (your supporters) and manufacture a simple item that appears to have been overlooked (can't see how) but is needed by many now and in the future. Thanks

I had to drill two new holes for my doorbell since my original door bell was mounted horizontally.  The hole in the vertical mortar had no issue.  The hole I drilled in the horizontal mortar did collapse on me, so it took a bit to get the doorbell tightened down.  Other than that no issues in the install.  I too would like the left/right wedge.  I did post several messages that my field of view is only about 135 degrees vs the 162 degrees advertised.  I did try to cameras and got the same results, so sort of figuring my trig ability is a bit rusty.

@ Nicolelizabeth, the SS doorbell fit perfectly over the old db location so, luckily,  no trig or any other type of math was required. :-)

Has anyone heard of or seen any products that actually work well to wedge the doorbell to the left?? Wish that SS came out like that just as all the other companies have- would be willing to pay!

@ikaplan1986 - I saw your comment on my wedge mount over on thingiverse. Practically any slicer can mirror the model, which means that left or right on the model is irrelevant.

If you're using a slicer that can't mirror, or paying somebody online to print it for you, let me know and I can help you out.  Also, I may post a more refined version later tonight. (tighter clearances, etc.)

I returned a Nest Hello that had plenty of aftermarket solutions for lateral angle adapter that looked amazing.  Nest doesn't advertise as coming with corner wedges so I wasn't disappointed.  But the aftermarket solutions for Simplisafe's doorbell are terrible, and Simplisafe lists having "wedges" for siding AND corners, and comes with ONE wedge for siding.

I'm really very irate about this.  I swear the only thing keeping me from ripping the whole security system out is the $170 I'd have to pay the Sherriff Dept to register a different security system.

This is flat out false advertising.   I returned my Nest Hello for this and the crazy deal I got on it has expired, so switching back would mean Simplisafe has not only wasted my time, but actually cost me money.

Then they have the audacity to try and talk me out of downgrading the monitoring service?!

Customer Service just told me to look for a 3rd party wedge...  Very disappointing.  I'll be sending the doorbell back.

SS, if Best Buy is simply your test market, and it worked, why wouldn't you sell the other faceplates individually on your own site, and as well, have the much-needed left/right wedge designed and ready on your site?  Missing another money making opportunity!

I just ordered the entire simplisafe system with a doorbell and have not received it yet. I thought of the same problem since my door and the wall with the doorbell are at right angles. This is a deal breaker and I still cannot comprehend how SS did not think of this.

15 & 30 Degree Wedge

I posted in another forum but I found an off the shelf solution from someone selling on eBay a 15 and 30 degree wedge made specifically for SimpliSafe Video Doorbells here:

(or you can search "SimpliSafe - Video Doorbell Camera Wedge 30 & 15 Degree")

Keep in mind that SS has recently changed the design of both the wire connector and wedge.  The holes are in different places.

@rancidsoho Has anybody tried this?  If so, does it work with the latest generation SS doorbell?

I called for the same thing because my doorbell faces a wall and this angle is absolutely useless. The customer service rep actually said, "could you put a sign asking people stand a foot over so you can get them in frame?'  No SimpliSafe, I don't think my local criminals would be willing to do that for me. ????????????????

Before looking here, I called customer support. After about 20 minutes, I learned that the vertical adjustment wedge is all that is available. 17 months in the making and still no horizontal wedge. My neighbors Ring Doorbell Camera came with a variety of horizontal and vertical adjustment wedges.  Seems like a practice and necessary optional accessory.

I took some measurement and plan to make my own at the machine shop.
