Doorbell Pro not waterproof

I have a concern about my doorbell pro - I have just installed at side door and it is not protected by a overhang - I was told today that the doorbell pro is not waterproof - which I am afraid will prove problematic.  Any suggestions?  This is an expensive doorbell - I purchased one already for my front door which does have a overhang -- liked it so well that i purchased another one for the side door assuming that a doorbell would automatically perform in all weather elements.

@Pamelia.walker I live in  northern Illinois and my doorbell faces due west, not covered by anything.  After at least two winters of heavy snow, ice, wind etc and many heavy rains, it is doing quite nicely.  If it is damaged, there is the 3 year warranty that SS will replace it for you at nc, but based on my experience I think  you will be fine.

How is there no response from SS on this post after 3 years?

I can't find any info on the weatherproofing of the doorbell.

@marklindsey​ it sounds like there was some miscommunication with the original poster back in 2020. As the Captain says, the Video Doorbell Pro is resistant to weather conditions like rain and snow - with a recommended operating environment of 4-185°F.

You shouldn't need to do anything to prepare your bad weather - your unit should be okay as-is.
