Doorbell Issues
I have a strange issue with my new SimpliSafe doorbell which support don't seem to be able to help me with (at least not yet).
I have installed the doorbell and it will not ring or turn on. When I turn the power to the doorbell back on, it rings once but then the doorbell button does not respond. I have left it for half an hour to see if it will eventually turn on but nothing. I know that the button is just a mechanical switch anyway so it shouldn't rely on battery charge.
I have removed SimpliSafe doorbell and reinstalled my previous, "standard" doorbell and this works fine so the issue clearly lies with the SimpliSafe.
When plugging the doorbell in via micro-USB it seems to work well. Pressing the button brings up a prompt on my phone and the camera works well too. Just not when it's installed on the front of my house.
On top of this, I now can not remove the SimpliSafe doorbell to do any more testing as the head of the tiny security screw is now stripped. I tried the old rubber band method but the torx screw driver is so small that it just pierces the band so it's no use. Does anyone have any suggestions that could help me remove this screw?

It sounds like your Video Doorbell Pro may not be getting enough power. Do you know if the chime box in your home is mechanical or digital? If you're not sure, a traditional mechanical chime will have a two-note ring, whereas digital chimes are capable of playing multi-note melodies. At this time, the Video Doorbell Pro is not compatible with digital chime boxes so if your chime box is digital, it may have to be returned.

I tried removing the doorbell from the wall altogether and the same issue persists.
I received a replacement bell and this had the same issue unfortunately.

To be clear, it sounds like you may also be having problems with the security screw being stripped? From personal experience with some stripped screws, I have had some success putting a rubber band in between the screw head and the screwdriver. Other people have also recommended using a bit of glue to get the screwdriver attached to the screw before attempting to remove it. If anybody else has any suggestions, we'd be happy to hear them.

I have an issue that, after months, electricians, and numerous calls and different doorbells, SS have not been able to crack.
I receive the doorbell and am able to install on my wifi after plugging into the micro USB. When I install on the wall bracket, it chimes, then stops working. I get this yellow light that comes on for a few seconds, then off for 5-10 seconds. Not flashing but repeating this cycle indefinitely. After putting on the bracket, the doorbell no longer works and connects to my phone, even when connected back on USB.
I have hired an electrician to test the voltage to the doorbell bracket (consistent 19v), bought a new transformer, created a separate 2.4GHz wifi network etc. nothing works. During my latest call with SS, I was informed that the issue is because I have a digital chime, but is this really it? It doesnt explain why the doorbell won't power.
